A PROGRESS REPORT
Both Germany and the UK have sought to diversify Board composition in recent years. An important component has been greater gender balance. Different approaches have been adopted in the two markets resulting in progress.
Fidelio’s focus is building high-performing Boards; it is clear to us that important contributors to performance are cognitive diversity and access to the best talent in a broad talent pool. Over 50% of our Search appointments have been female for the past three years. We are active both in Germany and the UK where we have been accredited eight times by the FTSE Women Leaders Review for our contribution to gender balance in the Boardroom.
Given this track record and focus Fidelio has been keen to track and support greater gender balance in the Boardroom in these two important markets. Over the past five years Fidelio has co-hosted with the German-British Roundtable progress updates looking at gender balance in the Boardroom with senior German and UK business leaders.
