Fidelio has a tradition of working with Boards across different geographies and jurisdictions, in both Search and Evaluation. Context matters and understanding legal, regulatory and cultural frameworks is essential for Board dynamic, performance and effectiveness.  

In this Overture, Dr Hans-Christoph Hirt, Fidelio Advisory Partner, explores differences and common features of corporate governance across the UK, Germany and Switzerland, prompted by recent conversations in Zurich.

Fidelio has worked with Boards across all three jurisdictions. Each Board structure has its strengths and places distinct demands on Directors. The structural context in which Board dynamics unfold is an important factor. In our experience, however, much ultimately depends on the calibre and commitment of Board Members and the quality of the dynamics among them.
