Recently Fidelio addressed the question “what do high performing Boards do differently?” on a webinar with an active, engaged and international group of Non-Executive Directors. 

The question is pertinent. 

Current instability has put much greater onus on the Board. Fragmentation and divergence increase reliance on the Board as a custodian of value. 

Drawing upon Fidelio’s Chair assignments across our Board Performance Platform, including Board Reviews, Search and Development, we have been able to build a robust understanding of what characterises high performance in the Boardroom. Fidelio’s webinar explored in particular why high-performing Boards are distinctive including how Board Members define their contribution and challenge themselves; how they build judgement and engage with external perspectives; and critically how they ensure continuous learning.
