A SEAT AT THE TABLE

The pace of change facing Boards has increased dramatically driven by an intertwining of

technology, geopolitical instability, macroeconomic volatility and climate.

With growing divergence in regulatory and legal frameworks, shareholders and stakeholders rely

increasingly on the Board as a custodian of value.

For the Board to fulfil this role an open and dynamic approach to Board learning is essential,

enabling Non-Executives to build an understanding of challenges that often barely existed during

their executive careers. Board Members need to learn quickly but Board learning that is not

predicated on a firm understanding of the role of the Board will fall well short of the mark.
