The German British Roundtable (GBR) exists to deepen and strengthen relations between Germany and the UK, building bridges through dialogue between senior business leaders, including engagement with political leaders.  

GBR hosts regular Zoom Roundtables to explore key issues which are on the agenda of business and political leaders in the UK and Germany.

Our March Roundtable welcomed key speaker Dr Gerd Leutner, Partner at CMS Berlin, in conversation with Fidelio’s Gillian Karran-Cumberlege. Gerd is a coordinator of CMS’s German-French Group and has in depth smart mobility and electromobility expertise. In particular we explored where the EU and the UK stand on autonomous driving, the regulatory framework, the opportunities and the limitations. We also explored governance frameworks to provide oversight and promote innovation.
