GBR: Financial Regulation Meets Climate Change

The German British Roundtable (GBR) exists to deepen and strengthen relations between Germany and the UK, building bridges through dialogue between senior business leaders, including engagement with political leaders.  

GBR hosts regular Zoom Roundtables to explore key issues which are on the agenda of business and political leaders in the UK and Germany. GBR’s upcoming roundtable on 21st October will welcome key speaker Elisabeth Stheeman to explore ‘Financial Regulation Meets Climate Change’.

Elisabeth sits on Boards in the UK and Germany, including as Chair of Edinburgh Investment Trust plc and Supervisory Board Member of alstria office REIT-AG; is an external member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee and Financial Market Infrastructure Board; and is a Fellow of Chapter Zero.

Drawing on her broad experience, Elisabeth will explore the connection between financial regulation and the path to Net Zero and climate change resilience.
