EMBEDDING ESG
Fidelio works with Boards to oversee the embedding of ESG in their organisations, supported by our range of proprietary interventions:
Board ESG Review, Dynamic Skills Matrix, ESG Leadership Grid and ESG Policy Implementation Framework

ESG BENCHMARKING
ESG is a fast-moving area with no established single model for success.
Fidelio’s ESG Benchmarking enables Boards to keep in touch with emerging best practices, providing a range of perspectives comparing governance and reporting against sector peers, broader best practice, or investor requirements.

"It was a super two days. I learned so much from each of the speakers and from the participants. And it was all very practical so I do plan to bring that learning in to my new role"

CASE STUDIES

CLIMATE CHANGE COMPETENCE SEMINAR FOR INTERNATIONAL ASSET MANAGER
Client priorities: Fidelio designed and delivered a Board Learning Module to a global asset manager to build the ‘climate change competence’ of the Board in light of rising scrutiny of the sector.
Outcome: Fidelio explored the role of the Board Members in establishing and overseeing a path to Net Zero as a financial services Board. Key themes included stakeholder expectations, climate reporting, regulatory requirements, and the risks of greenwashing. Following our Module, the Board committed to closer oversight of the company’s initiatives, processes, and reporting on climate change and working groups were established.

PORTFOLIO BOARD SKILLS MATRIX FOR INTERNATIONAL INVESTOR
Client priorities: As part of a programme of governance enhancement, the client – a major international Private Equity firm - was looking for a mechanism to review the quality of its existing portfolio Boards and to support the design of new Boards for its major new investment fund.
Outcome: Working closely with the client, Fidelio developed a dynamic skills matrix, with required skills profiles taking into account differences in industry sector, geography, and investment life-cycle across the portfolio, and incorporating ESG and diversity considerations.

ESG BENCHMARKING FOR PROPERTY AND BUSINESS SERVICES COMPANY
Client priorities: To provide context for its Board Evaluation, the client asked for a detailed comparison with the ESG approaches being taken by its close peer group, in particular with respect to Board and Committee structure and oversight, and Net Zero commitments and disclosure.
Outcome: Fidelio conducted a detailed benchmarking analysis using both published disclosures and anonymised interviews across the client’s chosen peer group. The report was prepared in parallel to the Board Evaluation report and its results informed a number of the recommendations of the Evaluation
